Mia and Cara had a wonderful Valentine's Day. We had a full house as about 70 of our family and friends joined us in wishing them a Happy First Birthday. The girls were adorable, Mia decked out in her tutu and leg warmers, and Cara in her hot pink turtleneck and shoes, and her zebra print dress. They were in great spirits too, playing with all their baby friends that came to visit. Mia impressed everyone by taking 4 and 5 steps at a time, and Cara stole the cake show by sticking her face in her cake and laughing her little head off. The girls were spoiled by gifts, and Nana and Papa surprised the girls with their first pair of diamond earrings, especially sentimental because the diamonds came from Great Grandma Ruby's "love ring" from Great Grandpa Al. That gift brought both Missy and me to tears.
Thanks to all our family and friends who made it such a fun and memorable day. A special thanks to the girls' grandparents for contributing time, food and decorations for the event. We love you all so much and appreciate every single thing you do for us.
