First Word

Can you believe it? The day after we get tubes, Mia says her first word! We were at the store last night with Brent, Carol and Mike’s sister Kelly. Mia was holding the phone up to her ear and I kept saying “hello”. Well, as plain as day she says, “Hello”. It was so loud and clear Mike and Kelly came running from the other side of the store, asking if that was Mia. Of course we all laughed and made such a fuss she didn’t say it again, but we all heard it. Then, this morning (after our first full night’s sleep in ages!) she said “doh” and pointed at the dog! Everyone said this would make a world of difference to us and I can’t believe that, less than 48 hours later, it already has.
